Joseba Sagastigordia coordinates the Corporate Plaftorm, MONDRAGON Business Development Center. Its main roles are linked to the identification and impulse of New Business Activities from the capacities of the cooperatives, the structuring of business investments with other external corporates or partners and finally the identification and shareholding of startups and scaleups. Joseba also participates as board member in various entrepreneurship platforms (Saiolan Bic Gipuzkoa Arrasate, Garaia Parke Teknologikoa and Gaztenpresa) and gives support as an advisor on startups boards. Joseba Sagastigordia has developed his entire professional career in areas of business development and focused mainly on the development of international markets. In addition, he has accumulated professional experience combining 3 different business legal forms and models, always with an industrial profile. He began a five years professional career in a Basque Family Industrial business group, moving afterwards to work in a French Multinational for a decade. Finally Joseba spent additional ten years working for a Cooperative Group from which he led and lauched as CEO a new Industrial spin-off until its business consolidation. Joseba Sagastigordia has a degree in Business Studies from the University of the Basque Country and has developed an International Executive MBA from the IE Business School. He also has several Masters in Foreign Trade and Marketing from the University of the Basque Country and in recent years he has completed his training with Executive Programs in the areas of Investments of Business Angels (IESE BS), Corporate Venture Capital (La Salle BCN) and Programs of Corporate Open Innovation (TU DELFT).
