Cristina Gallardo (F), Horizon Europe promotion manager Cristina Gallardo is Project Manager for European and International R&D promotion in Fundecyt Science and Technology Park of Extremadura (Spain). Cristina has a Degree in Political Science and Public Administration and certified Project Manager by the International Project Management Institute. She started her professional career on the digital field, managing social projects to overcome the digital gender gap, promotion of open source software or testing innovative methodologies in the Public Sector. From 2013 to 2016, as Innovation and Entrepreneurship Manager in Extremadura AVANTE (the public company in charge of business competitiveness policy in the Regional Government of Extremadura), she led the implementation of regional R&D programs (Innovation, ICT and Technological Vouchers, R&D Financing Instruments, etc.) and coordinated the Regional Startups program. Since January 2017, at Fundecyt-Pctex, Cristina has been working on the promotion of R&D profiles from Extremadura in European networks and fostering the participation of research centers and companies in funding programs, with a special focus on Horizon Europe. She is also part of the team in charge of the European Project Office of the University of Extremadura.
